“ Corner of West Jefferson n Southfield the ultimate Bait shop, Welcome to Pound Town. Lots of unique merchandise they shipping all over the country. After my wife purchased souvenirs we met next door at Riverside Coney Island. I created the Poundtown Burger Wowed, Double Bacon Cheeseburger I added Gyro Meat n Feta . Yes I devoured the whole thing, what a fantastic Burger . The owner himself was happy to make this for me, you want one just ask for the Poundtown Burger . She had a fantastic Omelette with Taters spot on wonderful . “ My hubby brought us in for breakfast and the overall vibe was really good. The waitresses were super sweet, everybody in the diner was speaking to each other, and the music added a nice touch. Real cozy, local energy. As for the food.. it’s simple, classic diner food. Nothing fancy, nothing over the top. It hits the spot when you’re hungry, but I do wish a few things had a little more seasoning. Still good enough to enjoy, and the portions were definitely solid. If you’re looking for a laid-back spot with friendly service and a chill atmosphere, this is a nice place to stop by. ”
“ This place is kept up very well. It is clean, the prices are very reasonable and the food is decent. When I ate here, I ordered the Mexican omelette. It had tomatoes, peppers, cheese and chili in it. It was flavorful and quite filling. It was served with hashbrowns and toast. It was all for under $10. The person that I was with ordered the loose burgers and they looked good as well. The variety on the menu was pretty good. While it's not very deep, it does have some dinners, such as hot turkey sandwiches and meatloaf sandwiches. I don't know if they are any good, but being that they have them says more than many other coneys in the area. The service was pretty good. The waitress seemed like she was on top of things. It also didn't take too long for our food to be served; just a few minutes. Overall, this place has great prices, large portions, flavorful food, and efficient service. They also have a selection of dinners. It's just about all you could ask for out of a coney. ”
